​FAIR PLAY TEAM is a politically and religiously independent community with no membership fees. The community respects every child’s right to live and play, attend school, and participate in physical activities, sports, music, and the arts.
FAIR PLAY TEAM supports children’s opportunities for a safe future on our planet, while respecting both the climate and nature.
FAIR PLAY Coach Timo Virtanen, who since August 21, 1995, has coordinated children’s rights to participate in sports, physical activities, and education in crisis areas, has served as coordinator of the EVERYBODY IS IMPORTANT project. In honor of the project’s 30th anniversary, a community has been established with no membership fees or obligations – with one exception. The only requirement of the community is to respect every child’s right to live on our planet while protecting nature and the climate.
Timo Virtanen’s biography, FAIR PLAY Coach – Respect Children’s Rights, directs proceeds from the book to support Ukrainian children’s education and extracurricular activities. The book will be published in the United States in spring 2026.
FAIR PLAY Coach has established the FAIR PLAY TEAM, which has no membership fees. The community respects children’s rights worldwide – in disasters, conflict zones, and all circumstances – and tirelessly defends them.
Every child has the right to attend school, participate in physical activities, sports, music, and the arts, and live in a world that respects our planet, its climate, and nature.
The community was founded during the SAVE OUR SCHOOLS – S.O.S. in Ukraine project on April 18, 2025. This project supports schools and sports clubs in Ukraine and respects children’s rights, giving them the opportunity to engage in sports, music, the arts, and education.
Joining FAIR PLAY Team is free of charge. On the contrary, by joining the team, you can also showcase your own activities and explain why you want to defend children’s rights – the right to attend school, participate in sports, music, and the arts, and most importantly, the right to play with other children, whether they belong to a special group or not.
We publish writings, photos, and video greetings from each team member to children around the world on our website: www.cype-academy.org, under FAIR PLAY TEAM.
